Allscott Sugar Beet site development Planning Meeting

The Parish Council will be represented by its Clerk at the Borough Council’s Planning Committee meeting which is to be held on Monday 22nd June at The Place Oakengates at six o’clock.

Although speakers at the meeting will only be allowed three minutes to summarise their objections, the Parish Council’s full objection can be read here.

One of our local residents, Mr. Alan Orrell, has also lodged his objection to the planning process which can be seen here.

Temporary Road Closure Admaston Road Wellington

The Parish Council has recently been provided with information that outlines the traffic management arrangements for a temporary road closure along Admaston Road, Wellington.

FCC Environment are undertaking works to remove existing speed cushions and build outs and replace with rubber bolt down cushions, on behalf of Telford & Wrekin Council’s Highways and Neighbourhood Management team, which are set to commence onMonday 29th June 2015 and anticipated to last for a duration of 2 weeks with an end date of Friday 10th July 2015.

The diversion route will be via North Road, Apley Avenue, Whitchurch Drive and the Shawbirch Road.

The contractor plans on working in restricted hours which in turn should mean a minimal impact on residents. The closure may only be on for a short period of time to allow work to take place on narrower sections of Admaston Road and may be sectional with unsigned local diversion routes available to residents.

Temporary Road Closure Order for the Dual Carriageway

The Borough Council have informed the Parish Council of a Temporary Road Closure Order for the Dual Carriageway Maintenance Scheme, Telford.

Telford and Wrekin Council’s Highways Capital Programme team are undertaking annual highways maintenance works which are set to commence on Sunday 28th June 2015 and anticipated to last for a duration of 23 days with an end date of Monday 20thJuly 2015.

There will also be uploaded copies of the closures and their accompanying diversion routes. Updates will also be provided by the Highways Capital Programme team when required.
